Productivity an essential recipe for success in life. A person who lives productively will never be at the bottom of the food chain.
That is because they make the most of their time doing things that yield positive results. A good example of this is spending time working and earning money rather than spending time and money mindlessly.
A productive person understands that time and energy are valuable resources and these resources are finite. So why is this important to a solopreneur like yourself? Being productive helps your business step up in the world.
To start, condition yourself the moment you wake up. Mornings are the best times since you’ve already recharged yourself after a good night’s rest. In this post, I’m sharing seven-morning rituals that will boost your day’s productivity.
Wake up early
Many studies show that productive people are early-risers. People who wake-up early tend to procrastinate less than their late-rising counterparts who’ve stayed up late at night. Waking up early also gives you more time to prepare for your day, making it easier to get things done.
Make your bed
Encourage productivity by starting the day with a sense of accomplishment. Making your bed upon waking up is very ideal for this. Aside from feeling accomplished, you get more headspace.
Rehydrate with a bottle of water
Bodily functions require water even when at sleep, which is why you feel dehydrated and tired when you wake up. To replenish your bodily fluids and re-energize its functions, drink a bottle of water. Also, stay properly hydrated during the day. Dehydration leads to headache and fatigue.
Exercise
Engage in a light to medium workout. Exercising triggers the release of endorphins. Endorphins are hormones that promote energy and activity. However, don’t exercise too much or it will drain your energy. “Enough to get things going” – is the phrase you need.
Meditate
A widely recognized benefit of meditation is that it boosts your brain function. Your attention, creativity, working memory, and emotional regulation improve. Meditating also enhances your physical well-being by strengthening your immunity. Since meditation is a healthy practice, the act itself also promotes other positive habits.
Eat a healthy breakfast
Don’t eat too much and don’t eat too little. If you get too full during breakfast, you will feel sluggish later. Also, avoid fasting in the morning. You will feel hungry and have a poor focus during work. Sluggishness and a bad focus are hindrances for productivity. Make your breakfast enough for you to survive the morning.
Make a to-do list
Writing a schedule of tasks gives you a keener sense of your time. Having a better sense of time motivates you to value it more. When preparing a list of tasks, keep them specific and realistic.
