As someone who runs a business all by yourself, it’s easy to lose your mojo. On some days, you’ll feel overwhelmed. Sometimes you’re bored. When you don’t see results despite everything you did, you lose faith.
Instead of giving up, empower yourself. Empowering yourself means to make yourself stronger — to be in control of the situation instead of letting a situation control you. Today’s blog post shares ways you can empower yourself as a solopreneur.
1. Give yourself a timeout.
Don’t work. Don’t do anything related to your business. Spend an entire day all to yourself. Pamper yourself, read an inspiring book, or indulge in a hobby. If you’re constantly plagued by stressful thoughts, taking the time off can be very therapeutic. When you connect with yourself, you’ll come back refreshed and ready to hustle again.

2. Bring meaning to your routine.
Many of us live lives on autopilot. We just go through routine tasks and because of that, we fail to see opportunities that could grow our business. Starting now, increase your awareness of behavior. For example, when you write a blog post, don’t just write. Imagine how your reader will be able to benefit from it. When you open your Facebook page, think about how you can engage your audience better.
3. Pick one positive quote each morning.
The best way to run your day is to start it with positivity. When you wake up each morning, read one positive quote and apply it to your business. For example, the quote, “Stay patient and trust the journey,” reminds you to not rush things and that everything will reveal itself in time.

4. Take good care of your body.
Your body is all you have. If you neglect it and feed it with the wrong fuel, it will not be able to give you a sound mind and a happy spirit. One thing you can do for your personal health is to meditate. Jack Dorsey, CEO of Square, says that he meditates 30 minutes each day, around 5:00 am. Meditation is a powerful tool that reduces your stress and increases your attention span.
5. Focus on your strengths; outsource the rest.
While trying to be better at your weaknesses is a good thing, you should also be careful about how you spend your time. With everything that needs to get done, it might not be practical to learn a new skill. I’m a big believer in honing one’s strengths. Doing so brings greater results. What to do with your weaknesses? Consider hiring help from people who are good at them.
Conclusion
How will you empower yourself today? My favorite is bringing meaning to my routine. As a solopreneur, I want to feel more alive, and that requires me to pay more attention to all that I do — even the simplest solopreneur tasks. Share your thoughts in the comment section!
